At first glance, this picture looks like missionary Jim Marquardt organizing a soccer game in Colombia. Actually, this is one of the families that Jim and Miriam minister to. These boys are all brothers! Their father died 5 years ago in a senseless shooting. Their mother Martha was, of course, traumatized by the events, but early on focused on raising the boys to love Jesus. It has not been easy, but today they are all following the Lord. Juan and Jose have graduated from high school. Juan plans to enter the police force; Jose is going to a technical school. Martha is also in charge of the youth ministry in the church they attend.
