In recent years, we have had wonderful success in combining personal evangelism with medical outreach. So many people in developing nations suffer from common medical problems we can treat with one visit and, even if we can’t treat their ailment completely, we can show them love, we can pray and we can share Jesus. Such was the case with Lay Haur (Lie Warr) in Cambodia. It is when we leave our comfort zone to reach out with the love of Christ that we meet people with great burdens who are looking for a Savior.

“How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news … who announces salvation,” Isaiah 52:7 (NASB). As we allow ourselves to be conduits of God’s love and Good News, the miracle of new life occurs.

Who could have guessed that Brazilian immigrants in Florida would be so open to the Gospel message? Bob Spencer found out when he led a group of churches near Fort Lauderdale to exercise their hearts and hands to touch needy people with the Gospel message.

People still want to know God, so let’s not hold back this wonderful treasure. Allow God to use your life and pray for us that the Gospel seeds we plant will continue to find good ground.
