What a thrill!! What an excitement!! What a blessing to return to the land
of my birth—Sierra Leone—as a summer mission student from the Capital Bible
Seminary in Maryland. To God be the glory as all that I needed was provided
in a timely and amazing way! |

The high point of my trip was when I led a young Muslim lady called Fatmatu,
to the Lord on my last day in Sierra Leone. She came to know the Lord at a
crisis point in her life—without a permanent home nor more than one set of
clothes to wear. Thinking of my past life when I was a Muslim, we shared
some things that we have in common. She will need your prayers for the Lord
to continue what He has started to do in her life. Augusta, a CinA national
missionary in Freetown, is helping Fatmatu to follow Christ. |

I had the opportunity and privilege to preach on three consecutive Sundays
in different CinA churches, and led a Bible study group in another
denominational church. I was honored to speak to a group of young athletes
who are passionate about sports, and urged them to be faithful and committed
to the ministry to which God has called them. They impact others in the
arena of sports, and shine for Jesus by the way they participate in their
matches. |

It was the rainy season in Sierra Leone, and it rained so hard and
unceasingly that most of my activities took place indoors. Most of my time
was devoted to holding seminars in CinA churches strengthening and
encouraging leaders and laity. This reminded me of Paul and his team in the
Book of Acts 14:21-23 …strengthening the souls of the disciples,
encouraging them to continue in the faith. This was precisely what I
went there to do. |
